Does anyone know of a well collected resource for maya plugin development, which has source code (and maybe VC++ project files?) I can find all the MEL a man would desire, but plugin code is scarce...

you asked for a "well collected resource for maya plugin development" which may be a tall order... so! since no one else has replied, let me chime in with this:


i bought david's book "complete maya programming" and it comes with several complete (source, project files) sample plug-ins.

i had a fun time getting things to compile on my mac (but i eventually did).

compiling things on a PC should be *a lot* easier and the above might be a good place for you to start.

I have the same problem. I am looking for examples of simple fire/smoke plugins (or similar) and their source. just to get an idea how those things are put together. So if anyone knows any resources...?????
