A good way to start texturing metal is to photograph it using a film or digital camera and then editing/mixing in ps.
I find myself compositing a metal texture from 3-4 other sources. If you dont have a camera or you are lazzyyyy....
try this link, i am sure it will suit all your material needs.

Happy texturing!

What kind of editing are you intending to do to the image? Depending on what you want to do, there are lots of tutorials out there... For example, are you just interested in making it dirtier, or do you want it to be able to repeat seamlessly, or rusty... the possibilities are endless.
