View Full Version : character: Chipp Zanuff model

Just thought i would put this model i have started in an attempt to make me finish something i start.
This is going to be chipp Zanuff from the game guilty gear, i am not trying for a perfect replication of the character and i am going to texture him in a photorealisic way.
At the moment he is far to many tris, 4400tris to be precise. He has enough polys in his face to allow decent facial animation but i am not sure exactly if i am going to animate his face so i might remove polys from his mouth. Still need to make a few modeling adjustment and then ill UV map him and update this image.
Any comments so far are greatly appreciated.

You are going to have truble in the arms because you have modeled the bicep pointing striat up and the planar surfaces of thge hands strait down. The human body can't do that.
On further inspection it seems that you have modeled the upper arm too short. Yep too short.
Make the pants more dynamic in the front view.
His neck is too wide and he should have a pronounced trapezius
Nice work on the face. May be make the back og his head larger by a hair and bring the bottom of the cranium up

the bicep is meant to be pointing straight forward, i just think its not very clear in the images, I will try adjusting the length of his upper arm slightly.
i definatly agree about the neck and trapezius, will change that as soon as i get in.
going to make some changes to the hair once i have got a rough texture on it as im still not 100% sure how i want it to look.

quick update of the textures so far, i am having trouble with his hair, not sure if i like it very much and it was a pain in the ass to unwrap, i have never make a character with hair like this before so would like your comments on what you think so far or any examples you can think of that i could get some ideas from,
