The UV editor is pretty good in maya....but lets say i am doing a level design for a game....so there will be thousands of UVs mapped and wrangled all about in the Texture editor.

currently TOGGLE isolate select doesnt work on UVs in the UV texture editor...the current workflow is a bit redundant

anyone up for a go on this?

ok...problem solved....found a guy to do it for me:

toggle isolate select that will do the normal isolate select script...but if UVs are selected...it will isolate select those in the Texture Editor

just map to a hotkey

enableIsolateSelect $theNameOfTheCurrentPanel 0;
isolateSelect -state 0 $theNameOfTheCurrentPanel;

//convert selection whatever it is to UVs
//PolySelectConvert 4;

//clear the uvset here
textureEditorIsolateSelect 0;

//add selected uvs now
textureEditorIsolateSelect 1;

//toggle "view set"
textureWindowShaderFacesMode( "polyTexturePlacementPanel1", "textureWindow", 1);

isolateSelect -state 1 $theNameOfTheCurrentPanel;
enableIsolateSelect $theNameOfTheCurrentPanel 1;
