Hi all..

i've been working with this model for this one week.. yes yes yes, you've seen too many cars around already.. :D anyway, just trying my luck to see if anyone notices me..

the project (?) is done in more or less one week.. two days for modelling, another two for mapping and texturing.. the rest is for lighting and test render..

the purpose for this project is to learn how to texture objects; so far i've only been using procedural material.. and now i know that bitmaps render longer than procedural materials.. (way way longer)..

for the first images group (the clean Mazdas), each image was renderred in about 30 minutes.. bitmap used was only hdri for environment map..

the second images group (the red Mazdas), each image was renderred in about 1 hr 40 minutes..

the third images group (the muddy Mazdas), each image was renderred in about 3 hrs..

well I should've spent more time on the model, but school is already starting now so i gotta cut down my 3d activity and get back to being a faithful audience.. :D

Hey, nice work... I especially like the mud skin, seems like the dirt was really *smacked* onto the car, thats pretty kewl :)

The pics/model seem to have some antialias issues here and there though, esp. the second pic where the horizon appears all jagged. Lowres env perhaps? Other than that, good stuff. Like your perspectives as well.

thank you for your feedback.. finally, a reply, i was ready to throw my confidence away and never come back.. :P

yeah about that antialiasing issue, pretty sure it was on.. maybe my computer is not powerfull enough..? it's only p-4 1.7 ghz..
