Did you really copyright that?

I'm going to when it's going online so I have to write that

anything "artsy" is copywritten by the author, or they are entitled to it

copyright act of 1976 or 1967(cant remeber which one) automatically copyrights all works when they are reproduced or copyed. Thats it in nut shell though.

And why then is there a fee for copywriting? :P

There isn't.

There's a fee for having your copyright registered, which isn't quite the same thing.

Also, you can register a copyright after the work has been copied if you wish to fight the case in court (registering copyright helps a lot in such cases), the tricky bit is in proving you were the first to do what you did.

Also, works influenced by yours, or works that directly take yours but alter it to an extent, or work that parodies yours are not covered fully by copyright, and are hard to fight in court.

I could probably dig up some legal pages on international copyright if you wanted...

I second that. Something about the font choice doesn't quite fit the design scheme... they seem ... "disconnected."
