View Full Version : Radiosity vs Light Tracer

01 January 2004, 08:58 AM
I've been studying those two global illumination techniques these past few days. Now I have some questions

1. Radiosity produce better shader while light tracer produce better shadows. Is there any way for radiosity to produce high quality shadows as accurate as light tracer?

2. Also, is there any way for light tracer to produce accurate shader?

3. I use logarithmic exposure when I radiosity or light tracer. However, when I use matte/shadow material for floors, or walls, somehow the objects become shown. It is not shown when I don't use any exposure. And why is that?

Thanks a lot in advance.
