View Full Version : (number of splines + smooth) = big lag ?

I am using 3d max 4.2. I start out with around 60 - 90 fps when rotating or dragging splines around. Then I notice the more splines I add, the lower the fps goes. In the end when I have half of a human body, it takes about 5 minutes to drag a vertex to the position I want. I can't imagine what is going to happen when I make the other side of the body. :cry:

Is there something a newbie like me don't know?
Or am I screwed with my 866 mhz and 512 ram?
