i'm just wondering if this would make a good source material for modelling milla? this is my second attempt to model a human head an i'm planning to do real well on this one so it all begins with good preparation. any suggestions about the blueprint?

I think the contours are nice, but you miss a lot of details. There is not even a hint of the shape of the cheekbones, the eyebrows, etc. With only the contours you will have to guess what shape it is most of the time.
If you have a DVD-rom player in your computer then you'd best rent a copy of Fifth Element or Joan of Arc and take some screenshots. Be sure to have them at the right angle though, if the head is angled up or down you will have trouble matching up the side and the front view....
Oh, and take your time gathering reference, it'll be worth it later on.

well i have about a hundred reference photos already, but i think i'll have a look at fifth element then:)

this brings up a very good point on when its very hard to get reference pics from front and side at minimum what do you do about it...try sketching a front and side view from what reference you have? would be curious as what people do
mihkeltt : look forward to your process.
