im no expert by far, but most of the photo-real heads really take up a life of their own in the texturing stage, and even more so with hair. otherwise, unless you take chances with your modeling, like extreme nose/eye/lip shapes or facial structures going beyond the "perfect face", like pronounced cheek bones or... how do i say it gently, "fatter faces" with multiple chins, its all gonna look the same. study the people around you. take pictures of your friends or random crowds. try to find out what makes THOSE people look different.
