I used to use a 3d model viewer, very famous one. I can't manage to find it anymore. Would anyone can give me an advice to which 3d model viewer to use? I need to be able to view MAX files, 3ds, dwg(CAD) etc.

your advice is very much appreciated.

Greg

Right Hemisphere Deep Exploration is an 3d model viewer which can open max files, but you will need 3ds Max (with an extra plugin) to be installed

Autodesk design review. Little known that it accepts baked lighting too.

Pretty late post but FWIW, you can also use Unity. Your workflow for DWG would be DWG > Max > Unity. Just drag your Max file into Unity editor.
