Nice! I really like the image. The way the wolf is hugging the tree really does make him look sad and looney.

The only thing that seems off to me is the size of the moon. Maybe its just because I've tried to get shots like that from my own camera, and I know you have to have a really long lens and stand way back to get the moon to appear like that. It looks like your scene was rendered with a shorter lens. Most people probably won't notice, but I just thought I would chime in. I also know your a far stronger and more experienced artist than I, and your going for a stylized look, so please fell free to ignore my amateurish criticisms.

Very well done. You captured the emotions of the wolf well.

I really like the SSS and the fur, I also love the general atmosphere. Good job!

I think the exaggerated size emphasizes the wolves desperation.. he's almost there but will never reach it. Great!!

I think the exaggerated size emphasizes the wolves desperation..

I think so too. For me the large moon is crucial to the mood of the scene.

Nice composition and execution! I feel you could maybe grade it a little bit more to bring out different parts of the image. The far background feels very weak compared to the foreground. Good job!
