View Full Version : basic male - low poly

Im new to cg and this is my first serious try of a human male. I want to use it for a personal gameproject. For perfomance reasons i kept it low poly.
The model consists of 998 tris.
Any critics are welcome!

nice. but i'd make the crease between the pecs a bit less intense, and maybe push some of the middle verts towards the inside to define a bit more the abdominal area.

if i met a guy in the street with legs like that i think i would laff my ass off.
try making the legs a little longer. they seem too short.
his waist on the smoothed version just doesn't look right.
on the back view his right calf looks disfigured.
apart from those few things it looks like a very good model, especially for the poly count.

wow, this model has a great mesh flow. i really like it, but I agree that the legs are too short. I would also rotate the arms out to a 45 degree angle, so you can be sure they will deform correctly, and to make rigging easier. spread the legs a bit for the same reason. good job man!

thanks for the response.
Here is what ive done.
Ive made the legs longer and spred them
a bit. The arms are now at 45 degrees.
Sorry for my poor english h0pesfall but what is a pec. Do you mean the crease in the chest?
I have reduced this one and made the abdominal area a bit flatter by moving verts inside.
what do you think?
