Hello all!, this is my latest image created for a school project where we had to take a 2D painting or drawing, and recreate it in 3D, as realistic as possible.

Since Pokemon played a really big part of my childhood, I choose to do one of these little creatures:Abra, based on the drawing of Ken Sugimori.

When playing the game on gameboy, abra's were found in forests and bushes early in the game. This image is about one particular Abra, more advanced than others, who is about to evolve to his second stage: Kadabra. After the evolution, Kadabra finds himself with a Spoon (symbol of tylekinesis powers), which abra doesn't posses in the beginning. So the spoon here represents the link between abra and kadabra. Abra is evolving.

I wanted to give Abra sort of a "armadillo" look, mixed with some features of fox,.

For the environnement, the trees were made with EXSI multiple fractals in displacement mixed together with real-life textures. The water is some fractals mixed together in displacement. For the hair and grass I used softimage's hair.

In general i'm very Happy of the result, it's almost exactly what I had in mind.
