"Aviation enthusiasts across the world are marking the centenary of the first powered human flight, achieved by the Wright brothers in the United States.
It is 100 years since Orville Wright made a flight lasting 12 seconds which carried him just over 30 metres.
A re-enactment with a replica of his Flyer will be staged at the same spot on Kitty Hawk beach, North Carolina, in similar wet and windy conditions.
Other aerial events have begun round the planet, from India to the UK. "

The world is a lot smaller due to what happened that day.
But I still would'nt want to paint it :)

"Wright brothers' 1903 flight re-enactment fails; plane slips into puddle"
P.S.: Actually, thereīs a huge controversy if they flew even in 1903, but thatīs another story. ;)
