View Full Version : Render inverted polygons?? Help, Urgent

I checked the render option and notice that XSI set as default that they will render all the objects in both sides.
Which is good. because a lot of my geometry are needed tobe render in that way.
However, i am creating an admisvior by getting a big sphere. I would like to invert the polygon of the sphere so that it face in.
I don't know how to get that render only the inverted polygons by keeping the render settings render as both faces.

Have you tried the frontback shader, put a transparent shader on the back and your original shader on the front entry.
I didn't try this, but It could work...

Model>Modify Poly Mesh>Invert Polygons
That flips that normals of a poly mesh so a sphere with normals pointing out, now point in.

I guess it works. I tried, it works.
However, i want to make sure something. for the transparentsy node. say i pluga phong into it. should i plug in the input? or transparentsy.

nevermind. i got it. seems input is more effective.
