Gonna texture this model which has 2400 polygons in the anime style instead of the realistic style.Any comments on the model?

Hmm, in my opinion, the breast muscles are too high and need some more tuning. Grab an anatomy book or something to check your proportions.

He needs more front/back volume. Both his front and back are flat as boards. Definetly get an anatomy book for refrence.

And scale-down his pecs. It looks like he's got pec implants. Anime or not they look kinda silly.

I'ts looking good other than those 2 problems.

I can see this turning out quite nicely. Keep working on it and updating!

I agree with the other comments - need to fix some proportions a little. Even for the exaggerated anime style, I think that the proportions don't quite capture the feel.

Btw, do you have any reference art for this guy?

Be good to see where it is you are heading :)

Here is the model after some tweaks.I moved the upper back backwards a bit more so there is a curvature along the spine and reduced the arm size a bit

Reference art will follow once i manage to get my hands on a scanner i can use.

Started texturing the guy.

Any comments on the texture?

Here is the guy with textures on.Textures are not finished yet and i am experiencing something weird with the texture mapping.I am using 2 pieces of TGA texture maps.The first piece for the body has a bump map which works perfectly fine.The 2nd piece with a bump map as a 4th channel in the TGA file turns all the black markings into a shade of grey as seen on the waist and legs where the grey areas actually are black markings.Can anyone help me with that?I'm using Max 4

in addition to the above comments, you need to seriously take a look at his hands. He's got uber short fingers and a really long palm. look ay tour own hand... the fingers and the palm are about the same length, and the palm is reletively square shaped. also, the thumb should reach just past the beginning of the index finger, and it does not just stick straight out of the hand. also, the bottom of the leg on the front appears to have a big shading error, unless youre just good at painting those ^^

Thanx for the tip.Actually,i've modelled the hand in such a way that the fingers up the the knuckles are binded together and only the tip are individual segments.Right now i am trying to figure out why a bump map in a channel caused the black to turn to grey when rendered.After that,then i'll tackle the case of the leg which you have pointed out.

Here is the final product.About 2072 polygons and textured with 2 pieces of 512 X 512 texture map and a 128 X 128 texture map for the hair.

Any comments?
