View Full Version : Color and Monitor Calibration

Right: recently had my monitor taken away to be looked at (Sharp 15" TFT) this really drew my attention to the need to calibrate/adjust my colors. I dont want to spend money on hardware, but i am looking for some program/settings to go on.

For some reason i see white as a very faded cream color (New temporary Monitor) Ive spent about 1 and a half hours playing around and its not changed. Also colors generally have a washed out look.

I have been on google and not really found it that helpful.

Also could you post your general color setting advice, like what is best for photoshop work or whatever.

Since you have an Adobe product installed you can try their gamma correction utility, typically found in the Control Panel of a PC.

I managed to sort my settings out, i remeberd about the gamma loader after posting and that helped tweak a few things!
