as u see im new around here.
i have my work from a week ago....
the work is a glass of water or whatever tropic juice.
any way... i model it in bryce... and render the pic in photo shop and bryce...
hope u like it...

I think, there's a lot of work to do.
Some of my impressions:
-The glass would never be so thick, how would you drink out of it? Try to improve the glass material, actually I can't see any refraction.
- The table texture is a real mess and it is too repetitive, human eyes don't like this.
-Try to change the texture alignment on the edges and on wood you absolutely have to use bump maps, since it has a surface structure and is not totally flat.

the glass is thick... but not so thick...
the table is a secondary object.... i focus on the gkass...
the glass have a reflection .... i think this is ok... coz more reflection will make it like mirror...

The straw, of course :)
Good for starters, but the glass does need some work. If I'm not mistaken, when you look at glass, it refracts in a curvature way...take the 2nd pic for example. The middle-top of the glass just refracts the table ina straight line.
