So I went out and took some nice shaky youtube'ish footage on the weekend.
Tracked it and did a quick test and here are the results..
worked pretty well...

Kinda a bit worried that Im moving away from the cartoon bomb
Dont really want to do NPR I think Ill just roll with the penny/cherry bomb thing and see where it goes...

Great job on the track. Looks solid!
I'm feeling your pain about the toon explosion, I'll probably be bending the rules as well and making a bit more of a real one.

Are you going to have it blow a hole through the manhole cover?

All I had time for over the weekend:

try to do some stuff this week before work each day if I get time.

Did a fair bit over the weekend.
I have done the sparks and smoke from lighting the wick...looks ok so i will go with it.

Have set up all my render passes...maybe about 12 in total..mostly shadows, masks, occlusion and the fx on all different layers..but also a hdri pass to get it to sit nicely into the plate a little better...

forgot to hit render before I left for work this morning...sad...

Just need to do the shatter/rigid bodies for the mini bomb exploding and the fluids smoke to match it...

also need to do a bit of roto on the hand/lighter...Fun!!
