Anyway to change it back to the PS 7 one? I want that one for my desktop icons.

Hhm ... Getting the old Icons back ? ... Is this possible with a simple solution ... The only thing I can think of at the moment is to use a programm like
- exescope -
... with this you can open the photoshop(CS).exe file and it lets' you change all stored icon information in there. Use the old PS7.exe file, save the Icons and manually exchange all the needed icons by importing them to the CS File ... than I think the system uses this icons it finds in the PS.exe file ...
But if you do use the program with care. It could destroy the file so do a backup first ... you will also have to keep the size, etc. of the, in this case, icons, you want to change ...

stupid question: What is Photoshop CS? *still uses 6.0*

You could just place a copy of your PS7.exe in the Photoshop directory and have the desktop shortcut's icon point to that instead - no need to get messy with the actual icon at all!

Uups ... OK ... much more easier !!!

Why don'T you just get used to it ?

because everyone knows that the icon is more important than functionality.

Functionality has to follow the Icon ... :p
This CS branding stuff is just aweful. Why would I want Flowers, Butterflies, Feathers and Stars in my Dock? Arrrgh. I guess I'm not in touch with my femine side, but I really, really thought I was ?

Hahaha, this is quite funny, but shows how every aspect of software effects the end users experience. Im not a fan of the CS icon and whole new theme and would now prefer it to be like PS 7. To be honest I never gave it any thought untill I came across this post.

If it bothers you that much could you not just copy the PS7 icons and basically replace the CS ones? (ie: rename where necessary)
After all it is just an image file.

Well, I still think it's a little gay (as in lame, not sex. pref.), but I'm over it now.

Well I couldn't say that I'm overly pleased with the CS splashscreens and icons. But I was getting sick of that silly girl in Illustrator 10, if u ever used that prog.
Also, I changed my splash in maya 5. It reminded me too much of Warner Bros. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just not working on cartoons.
So, eXeScope could bring your eyes som custom candy, I guess, if you're fed up with the corporate design schemes.

If your on a Mac:
Get info on the applications (apple+i)
copy (apple+C) the icon off of the Photoshop 7 info window
paste (apple+V) it on top of the Photoshop CS info window.
