I like the concept. Nice work!
Why don't you try to reduse a little bit the glossiness (hilighted areas) on their skin!

A and try to put a blured enviroment behind , it will give more color to the scene!

I like it!

I like many of Dorian Cleavenger's works, too.

I'm surprised that this render of yours barely has any comments.
I too agree that it definately needs a background and that you should eliminate the speculars on the skin. As for the diffuse try an orange-like tone.
Plus I think that you should get rid of the flower petals and the buttons.
I find them totally irrelevant. Way too romantic, in a bad way.

Overally I think it's a lovely concept

care to post the original painting by Cleavenger ? not to compare them, but to see how you interpret it in 3d.

Again, Excellent concept.

Along with the shiny skin that needs attention, there's also something odd about the deformation inthe elbow of the one on the right. It calls my attention. You could probably fix this with a little post work.
