View Full Version : Silo demo reset (15 days), modeling contest

12 December 2003, 11:38 AM
Hi Everyone,
Happy Holidays! The demo period for Silo has been reset and changed to a 15-day demo, so anyone can download the latest version and use a fully-functional copy of Silo for 15 days (eg from now until Christmas:)). The Learning Version has also been expanded to allow saving of meshes of up to 100 polys. You may be surprised at some of the additions since last time you tried the software, and progress continues at a rapid clip. Find out why Silo is being used to build character models for the next game from Digital Extremes.

I also wanted to post news of the first Silo modeling contest, taking place over at The subject is fountains (a lot of lattitude there, a lot of room for cool ideas), and it ends Dec 31st. It's open to anyone - you can use the free Learning Version or the 15-day free demo if you don't own Silo. Prizes include a free copy of Silo, a minidisc player, or even choosing a feature to go into a near-future version of Silo. Hope to see you there. (
