wheee doggay! this is a low poly victim i made for a programming student's final project game. It's a slash-em-up killer set in a small midwestern town, and this guy is going to die. a lot. i had a poly budget of 800 polygons and one 512x512 texture. c&c please.

created in: alias maya 5, photoshop
model time: ~5 hours
texture time: ~8 hours

Good start, but the mesh needs some work.

>>Try making the head more round, its a bit blocky right now. Think of the head more as a round shape then as a block shape.

>>Also make the back of the head less flat.

>>You could lose some poly's in the torso and upper and lower neck. Use those polys for more detail in the feet

thanks for the crits... someone else pointed out the feet to me as well, but it's an over-the-shoulder tomb raiderey style game, so i didn't think any more polys needed to be spent on the feet. i will fix the head, though, and post it as soon as i can.

Hey DreiGrasheir

- He's decent so far but, his proportions are a little off. His head seems a tad to large, shrink it just a little (including the length of his face, it's too long vertically). His upper torso looks a little small also, broaden it out, specifically his shoulders, a little more (right now it makes his hips look to wide for male proportions). I think he looks odd with the flannel vest looking so skin tight, so broaden the waist and shoulders slightly.

He'll be ready for killing in no time, heh.

you can optimize his face and use the polygons to model him ears instead. that way you get more shape to the character.
