Hi Everybody,
We just released a new version of FluidRay RT real-time renderer featuring:
- A new Metropolis sampler type implementing real-time metropolis light transport. Thanks to that, convergence speed is vastly improved in most scenes.
- A share button that enables you to automatically share your renderings on Facebook.
- Improved AMD support, FluidRay RT should now work on pretty much any machine

That's nice and all but I have a few questions if you don't mind answering;
Is it gpu agnostic?
Is it limited to the gpu memory?
How does it handles animation? Both translation, rotation and scale and deforming geometry?
Do you plan a max plugin anytime soon?

Hi davius,
FluidRay RT is CPU based, it doesn't need any special GPU to run. For the same reason, there is no GPU memory limitation. Animation is not supported yet, but it's up there on the list. It will come first in the form of transformation animation, and then also as deformable geometry. A max plugin is planned as well.

Thanks for your response Nicola, nice to see a new render engine arise. Do you have any idea of how does fluidray compares (speed wise) to other real-time renderers like octane, vrayrt or iray?

I'm just gonna say it's pretty fast ;-) You should check it out and decide for yourself, it's free!
