Why is there a thread right under this one that has a chair exactly the same as this one, only better lighting and different views? Are you the same guy?

no. we just working together on the same project ... this model was the test work. this is my version, that belongs to him. 2 different models, 2 different uvs, 2 different textures, 2 different lighting, 2 differed rendering.

he used max and vray as i remember, i used maya and mental ray.

wgeddes: i used two planes with incandescence and rendered with only final gather. there is a light in the scene for the specular, but it doesn't emit diffuse. this is a simple setup with a good result. that's all.
