The hair is modelled with planes and use opacity maps.
My setup is the following:
Rendering in Maya 2013 with Mental Ray.
The geometry has mia shader, lots of colour information is coming via the additional colour. Opacity map is hooked up to cut-out opacity.
I am using FG and Area lights with ray-traced shadows.
My shadow method is set to segments in the render globals.
It looks like the shadow are not coming through the transparant parts of the hair. Anybody know a solution ?
EDIT : Solved : Upped the trace depth of my shadows in the area lights that solved the problem. I removed the image.
