happy to be posting here again. This is a character i recently completed. Modelled in Max 5 with textures created in Photoshop. Two 512x512 textures used. Hope you like him

Why the lack of replies here?
I think the model is brilliant. I like the sketch more, but that's
probably because you go low-poly on it :)

Love the sketch/character!
You went off at places in ur 3D model which is making it look off.
1) His shoulders are way back in the 3D model, whereas they look perfect in the sketch.
2)His nose should be bigger and be over his mouth.
other than that...its looking cool...very close to the sketch.

Strange how you miss things from the original sketch sometimes. The arm position was intentionally moved, but I hadn't realized about the nose... cheers aazimkhan!

What the others said. Also, with two 512x512 maps I bet you could up the details in the textures quite a bit. Add some weave textures to the cloth and more details on the head.
Other than that, great work man.

Amazing work with such few polygons! You definitely created a character with personality and you could really create an interesting story around him.
