SM 24 - 11-03-2012 to 11-10-2012

Hello and welcome to the 24. SMC.

This week we will do something different. I will only post a link to a photo/homepage (and I hope the link works). You will see on that page some photos of a Robot. Robots are looking complex but are made of simple shapes - so good practice and in the end you got a whole character!
I would recommend to stick to the reference for better practice. But if you like do some alternations.
I don't like to give a time limit. Make it as good as you can and see how fast you are - don't stop inbetween - get yourself through it and be proud of yourself in the end!

So here comes the link:

Happy modelling!

(I hope it is not against any copyright law when trying to make a similar robot for practice - since you did it on your own and he will have different topology and so on...)

Wow, that looks great! Love it! The only thing I see is that the outgoing "spikes" of the part over the knee are too soft in your model - they are stronger in the original.

would you like to share also a wireframe picture with us?

ya, after see what you write only i realise that. :banghead:
anyway, this is the wireframe of the robot. nothing fancy here. all build from polygon then some extrude and extract.

Thanks for the wire. Good job. I like that robot.

If you want you can now make your own version of a robot.
