View Full Version : ColorAtPoint and 32bit float textures

I am trying to get colour informations of a 32bit floating texture. But there are some colours that seem to be analysed correctly and others like very bright are completly wrong. It would be great to get some help as I use that feature for my final bachelor work.

- Maya 2013
- Textures created with Nuke and Photoshop tried both.
- File formats I tried are EXR, HDR and Tif 32bit

The source code I used for testing is pretty simple and works for colourd textures as red green blue magenta yellow and cyan. For white grey, black and very bright colours it doesn't work at all.
colorAtPoint -o RGB -u .5 -v .5 file8;
