Yesterday I released meshmixer08.

new toys: FaceGroup support, Stamp tool, Create Polygons for Stamp, Attract-to-Target brush, improved Booleans, Joins, and PlaneCut, Align tool, Brush controls (flow, hold boundary, restrict to group etc), better Transform Widgets, Grid, UI enhancements, etc...

I remember seeing your first version of this posted on CGTalk and was really impressed with it! Congrats on continuing to improve such a cool piece of software.

Thanks richardrosenman! Looks like you are local...if you are actually using meshmixer in your studio, I would be interested in talking about it (or, I guess, if you would like to use it but can't because of current limitations =)

Awesome. Just a quick note: You have a typo on the www.meshmixer.com main page. It says that the 08 version was released in 2011 instead of 2012. :)

Trying it. This new beta 2 version and pin vertex movement to move the curve is precisely a thing that i think it is necessary to advance Polygon/SubD modeling since it is something that exists in Nurbs but i didn't found command to use them in pdf's and in forum search. What is the command?


Edit: i discovered that double click for pin vertex with a wacom doesn't work.


Would be nice that smooth boundary was only a graphic object interface without any change in the mesh until we commit, this with possibility of a remesh. Ideally it should be a curve we draw and moved it's points or whole as we liked to the positions we wanted and then when we accept it affects the mesh.
