I have last question about processor.
What is better?

1. buy 1 XEON 3,06 and after 2 years buy second XEON 3,06

2. buy Intel P4 3 (800Mhz) and after 2 years buy new motherboard ane buy new proccesor.

What is better?
I dont have much money.
I will have this components:
120 Seagate disk + 80 WD
2x 512RAM
MSI TVR128 5600 (graphic)

I work with XSI (intermediate) and sometimes i play games.

Choice #2.

2 Years is an eon in computer hardware.

definitly choice 2 the P$ has faster fsb and in 2 years you will probably want a 64 bit chip to go with your new software or you will want the xeon at a new clock speed wich will probably have doubled

Yeah, Moore's law says processor speed doubles every how long?

My current comp's processor speed was doubled in two years, so I'd go with the choice #2.

I also go for #2, afterall, the only constant is change. :)

From a technical standpoint, choice # 2 is the best bet for you.

1 Xeon, although powerful, wont be as powerful as a P4 /w 800FSB. Xeons are made to work in dual format, and thus perform better in those situations.

Basically, if you really want to go Xeon, go for two of them or it's not worth it. Getting the P4 and waiting a couple of years to get a new system, possibly go dual or even 1 64-bit processor(s), is the most logical choice to make.
