yup, you can link the image you've uploaded elsewhere.

TNX A LOT BRAN! anyway i got some problems with the update submit system.
my jpgs are still not uploaded after a lot of try!

10-12-2012, 06:11 PM
no problem ;)
curious about what you have planned!
for the uploader problems, you should contact one of the site admins, i suppose...

10-12-2012, 08:34 PM
Looks like the problems are related to the browser. Anyway... i plan to make an image (still dont know if 3d o 2d or anything else) based on the idea that we live in the world of NEWS.
news on tv, news on the net, on printed paper, on radio, everywere. And is bitter funny that a lot of news are just rumbles of illness , oddness and unuserfull...that a taste many news we hear. is not a moral judgment, only a personal vision of that I feel as something grotesque. So the idea is to make something exaggerated and possibly funny. Obviously if I could upload images! ;)

10-12-2012, 08:43 PM
woooh! i try i trick ...let looks if it works! ps: hey guys! we are near halloween...TRICK or TREAT! (men... love halloween so bad!)

10-13-2012, 06:42 PM
"He got 10" lol ...
can be very funny go for it

By my opinion try Showing how people really interesting in the nonsense of the reporters, feeding the rating for low-level media stuff even farther ...

Like it :buttrock:

10-14-2012, 07:55 AM
Welcome! Great idea you have!
All the best

10-14-2012, 11:33 AM
cool funny idea mate , keep going

10-15-2012, 09:55 AM
to dumdumdum: TNX! Im away from challenges for long time..I feel a bit rusty but Ill'do my best. Umh..yes ...must be funny and cool to make some people of the scene to be obsessively interested to "reporters work".Good suggestion! tnx.

to adib: Tnx a lot! and all the best to you too! Is so cool to be in a challenge again!

to thebest: Thank you man! I love your horse model! so cool...(I mean the horse in your portfolio  )

10-15-2012, 01:29 PM
Just a bit of colour.:wip:

10-15-2012, 04:29 PM
intense lighting and funny details!
regarding the colors: the left side seems to be a bit too colourful (at least to me), but thats only nitpicking. ;)

how about ten ufos instead of eight?

10-15-2012, 04:35 PM
this has so many possible meaning to it,the audience would love that.

10-15-2012, 05:32 PM
Nice idea, OZ, but before you go in and start rendering, I would recommend to check the composition again. It looks quite undecided how you arranged the guy in the format. Either you go for a central positioning ( which you missed a bit ) or you go for the golden ratio ( which you missed, too). The guy is somewhere in between what I wouldn't consider as ideal. If you want him to be turned a bit to the viewer, then I would choose the golden ratio.
Also don't let his back be turned to the bigger half of the image. That doesn't feel and look well.

Good luck!

10-16-2012, 09:09 AM
to Bran: Mumble...did you mean that the left side is too saturated or that there are too much hues? OH MY!!! YES! 10 ufos!!! tnx man i was mistaking!

to AbsorbentGhost : YES! you got the point!!! I mean with this image.

to: MH....yes you are right. I admit not to be a genius in composition. Anyway, there a a lot of
things to be corrected....mumble mumble...I think I'll shift the guy to the right a bit beyond the centre. Thx 4 for the help m8.:)

10-17-2012, 11:30 AM
I love 70's style! here there is a colour and design test about it. So yes...I want to put my scene in early seventies.

10-17-2012, 06:27 PM
nice colors really brings out that time

to thebest: Thank you man! I love your horse model! so cool...(I mean the horse in your portfolio  )
wow nice to know that I have some fans

10-17-2012, 09:52 PM
so are you going for 2d or 3d with this? Loads of work either way and I like the idea :) Good luck!

10-18-2012, 03:12 PM
Hey there Fabio, thanks a lot for the visit mate. :)
Your idea seems quite interesting. The concept sketch is looking good, someone already mentioned about the composition so I won't be sayin anythin about that. Aside from that the intense lighting is looking interesting. And those 70s designs are looking really fun! Keep going man and all the very best! Go go go!

10-18-2012, 03:19 PM
Nice color scheme .Waiting for the next progress.:)

10-18-2012, 06:31 PM
Great start on the challenge, the color concept has a nice feel to it with regards to the media buzz idea.

10-19-2012, 10:04 PM
to theest : Oh yes! that horse rocks man! And...tnx 4 your presece helps me!

to intervain : mh...i still dont thinking about making putty maquettes...or not a very good 2d artist at all i skip 2d at all i think. woooh..your avatar makes me remind that tomorrow I got to wake up early in the morning!! Im in a talk about indiegaming at Milano, at the assassin's creed art show.:lightbulb

to noxmoony : GO GO GO! tnx a lot 4 your encouragement! ans...see you soon in your thread!

to adib :c oming from you that you're so good at coloring is a double compliment! tnx a lot adib!!!

to mmoir: Tnx a lot man! I point to put more illness in the image...i mean... hey!there are alien invasions, giant robot and dinosaur, and only god knows what else...and...everyone is captured by a stupid sex (suggested but not explicit) scene???? I want to joke around this idea.

10-21-2012, 06:01 PM
This one is gonna be funny as hell. I really liked the colour/texture choice. Keeping an eye on this one!

10-22-2012, 12:48 PM
Some acid color text. The 70's text design was a total mass of shapes and colours, it is one of the things I love most of seventies!

10-25-2012, 03:40 PM
Last night I tried to compose the scene I want to represent using toys.
I liked it so much that I asked myself if not to create a scene in 3d with reproductions of toys. What do you think? :hmm:

10-25-2012, 03:44 PM
That could actually work, but I liked what you were doing with your sketch. If anything, it would be great to see an image of your toys, you don't have a pic?

10-26-2012, 08:34 AM
Cool 70's styles ! What did you intend to use them for image wise? Clothes of the people?
I also agree with Yakonusuke about the golden ratio / middle composition adaptation.
What I did not quite get, is what is the guy showing off ? His tenpack ?

10-29-2012, 09:39 AM
I ( love czech Im wondering if making the scene as a puppet show! with wooden puppets, dramatic lights...and so on. What did you think?

10-29-2012, 02:38 PM
if I`am imagining it right then wow mate definitely go for it :arteest:

10-30-2012, 09:33 AM
to JWRodegher: OW tnx! :scream: ...Well...maybe you are right...maybe the first idea is the best...infact, I'm still not sure what to do. Uh! a shot with toys? oh yes..! i got to post it!

to TekniX: I point to use that patterns and types for textures. But, first of all, that stuff was collected to study the 70's style in general. Talking of composition...yes, i got to change the things. And...about the guy...none knows WHAT HE IS SHOWING OFF!!!

to thebest: TNX M8!!! :wavey: I got to post something serious here! i fell just Im posting spam!!!

10-31-2012, 02:41 PM
This show off guy must be quite talented if he got 10.
Nice idea, I like 70's style, there should be someone with afro I think.

11-03-2012, 01:42 AM
Greetings from LUCCA COMICS AND GAMES...Italy!
Im pretty busy with this comic-con like event in here in tuscany where I live and work...sadly I'm away from challenge too...:wavey:

11-03-2012, 02:09 AM
I discovered that originally Halloween was a celebration of life. Nice thing i think! Anyway...I post this image because of the splendid red/yellow palette that I think to include in to my image. Hope you like it!

11-03-2012, 02:18 AM
to ElviraArkanov: Tnx a lot...he he he he. Yes, you're right, and...thinking about the palette of my halloween house picture...i decided to make an afro guy in orange with purple sunglasses and big white shiny boots! What did you think? May it works? :)
Ps: I love the stuff in your gallery!

11-07-2012, 07:33 AM
Hi guys! Back from lucca comics! so...time to go back on the challenge!

11-07-2012, 08:00 AM
Great idea :) heheh :) I'm talking of course about the concept ;)
keep going

11-07-2012, 08:28 AM
Hi guys! Back from lucca comics! so...time to go back on the challenge!

lets rock! :buttrock:

11-07-2012, 11:05 PM this is the first true 3d wip! a sort of dummy character to populate the scene background. The image is a test on colour mood too. Hope you like it!

11-08-2012, 05:49 AM
the second looks best to me, regardless im associating it with kind of daylight. the third is way more dramatic, but the face looks a bit weird with that lighting.
awesome expression anyway :D

11-09-2012, 11:04 AM
For the backgroud fight...i chose a classic approach...An ultraman like hero vs a fake mutated dinosaur. Her's the start of the ultraguy (this is his name) model.Lovely Kinky uh?

11-09-2012, 11:55 AM

nice classic style.
All the best!

11-09-2012, 12:16 PM
ultraguy retro power! like it!
curious whats next ;)

11-09-2012, 01:21 PM
Nice Ideas, I will follow! ^^ Love how you look for colors - I am interested in your workflow, still much to learn for me.

Have fun! Curious how the finished piece will look like!

11-12-2012, 09:40 AM
this one should be fun man!

goodluck, be checking back ;p

11-12-2012, 10:41 AM
Every hero need an enemy! So...let start making monsters!!! sooo funny! This guy in inspired to Gomora...famous ultraman enemy. Rubber freak! i love you!

11-12-2012, 11:09 AM
to Bran: Yes...i did an exaggerated light fx. But maybe a dit too exaggerated!! :p
That kind of light comes out from the police cars all arond the scene and something in the backgroud just like commercial video on the mega sreens (i want to put the scene in time square or something like it) so the lights must be very acid coloured. anyway...there's a lot to be fixed. Happy you like Ultraguy...stay tuned for more retro extravaganza.

to Adib: Hey man! You therad rock! spelndid work! Thank you! If you love classic stuff...come back for more! :wip:

to Sundaynights : Tnx Monica! workflow? Now is a bit disordered because following a challenge and doing my everyday job, well, is very difficult, so i did things not the usual way.
I will tray to follow a program so you can enjoy this thread more usefully.

to Versiden: Happy to see you here!!! thnx! this challenge look to be veeeery funny and with very talented artists as you are!

11-12-2012, 11:24 AM
To Soska: Tnx man! I love your "new generation of woking class" image!!! did you plan to join the cahllenge?

11-12-2012, 04:39 PM
Looks like today i got a lot of free time (is sadly an illusion ...sob!) so Im still here posting stuff.
About colours..maybe this image is a bit off topic but...just enjoy it with me. A picture taken today outside my studio, here in Florence.
The sky was spectacular...I hope to put the same colour intensity in my image. Anyway...mother nature is magic...

11-21-2012, 05:10 AM
This is looking really cool; Keep up the good work! I like the colourful concept art and the 3d models are coming along nicely. With the colour test, I personally liked the third option best; it seemed to reflect the nice saturated colours in your concept art most closely, but as we all know an idea changes over time :) Looking forward to seeing more!

11-21-2012, 02:26 PM
OZ, you are crazy! Crazy Good!

I like that style of Puppets too. 70's colors and patterns are so loud and the typography is funny. I wonder if it looked like straight arial when looking at that those fonts stoned. lol

I recognized Gomora as soon as I saw it and laughed when I read your post to find out I was right. Nice job!

Can't wait to see you pull all of this together.

Good luck.

11-23-2012, 02:07 PM
to AdamTSC: Tnx man! I really appreciate your comment!;)
I love the third colour scheme too. But is a bit overloaded of colour and light...there a thousands of things still to be fixed.:wip:

to CG-Rich: Oooh thank you Rich! Im on the Goo-Mora (I named the guy this way) and Ultraguy.
I love this stuff so much that Im thinking to change my image and focus on this "10 evil rubber monster to beat".

11-23-2012, 02:09 PM
Ultragy gloves! ULTRAGLOVES ! I love this stuff so much! I Need MOOOOOOORE time!

11-23-2012, 04:28 PM
nice gloves  keep going mate

11-26-2012, 04:54 PM
to thebest: Tnx! It is a shame that i have so little time to work on this fantastic challenge...sob!

11-28-2012, 03:48 PM
Ultraguy almost complete! Now a "BIT" of texture working is needed, but before working more on this guy i have do model a lot of characters.....ohmy! ohmy!

11-29-2012, 04:21 PM
Here again. This time I present you a poor guy...a thief that stops his escape shocked by the sight of so much masculinity! It may be that size does not matter, but the number... IT DOES!

11-29-2012, 04:25 PM
uh I forgot the image! sorry!

12-03-2012, 10:19 PM
This is Violet. One of the main character of the scene! Ultra 70's "curly" babe...curly cute !isn't she? More stuff I did, more I love to go deeply into my memories of the wonderful seventies!

12-04-2012, 06:46 AM
coming along nicely

Violet is looking cool. I'm not sure how close up we'll see this character, but I'd like to see more attention to detail of the eyes, particularly the eyelids - the eye feels like it's popping out the head, and there's no structure to support the eye. Overall I like the silhouette and the character of her!

12-05-2012, 05:25 PM
I agree with Martin's comments, but still, Violet has great potential. I think she's much stronger visually than other characters - more in her style please ;).

12-14-2012, 10:35 PM
Hi everyone! Past week or a bit more I was involved in a video project. So I was not able to work on the challenge. I hope to come back in action with you guys! looking at the latest entry this challenge is going great. Compliments to everyone.

12-24-2012, 04:56 PM
Check out the link and see that eyes can be that far popped out without needing "structure"

Eye Popping (

I like the Violet character and think you should keep her as is.

Great wip, keep it up :)

12-28-2012, 10:36 PM
Here again! just to show you jimmy wip!

12-29-2012, 11:37 PM
to Versiden: are right..the eyepopping effects is not so cool. It was my intention to create an...ummh...extreme surprise expression, but this is obviously too much!

to azazel: So...yes again...Violet needs a bit of fixing or maybe more than a bit. :wip:

to XTitan: HAHAHAHAHA! scary!..hahahah..gosh...well, Im happy you like Violet as she is, but as versiden and azazel noticed the eye popping fx is really too much pronunced.
Anyway i got a looot of characters to make before a real fix on anyone of them...and Im running damn out of time!

Tnx to everyone to write here...comment...and support. It really helps me to push the my work forward.
