Singapore's first animated movie 'Sing to the Dawn'

What they said:

"Singapore is going to have its own first full-length animated feature called "Sing to the Dawn". The movie is a collaboration between Raintree Pictures, the Media Development Authority and Silicon Illusions.

But while animated films from Disney and Pixar cost up to US$100 million to make, this home-grown creation is only going to cost S$2.5 million.

The film is based on Minfong Ho's award winning book "Sing to the Dawn".

A popular children's book, it has even been used as an O level text."
