From a color standpoint, I dont think the bright green headband and flower are working with the muted tones in the pants. Stylistically, the headband and flower seem to be from the 70's or 80's, while the clothes are more of a 90's style. The camouflage green pants also don't really match up to the cyan colored fingernails and toes.

On the plus side, I think the character is coming along nicely. :) You've got a sharp crease just outside of the nostril that you might want to touch up and her waist is a little on the thin side. But overall, this is looking good!

thanks for your crit
i'll mess with the colors more
and fix that crease
as for the waist it's gona stay like that
for me it fits my idea of the charcter

and the clothes yeah maybe not all the way right for that style but i'm just going by what ever i think of next lol:)
i don't have any pics or anything to go by

I think that this character has a derivative retro style that is eclectic and in such, represents a post modern character dressed up with a retro feel.

I feel that the colours work, due to the Hippy theme and the contrast of colour. Also, the 90's seemed to be more conservative, which means that even a Retro style would be toned down some what.

Best Wishes

can we see a wireframe of that?

i'm still needing to fix the back of the arms/shoulders so it'll be alot different around there in the next update:):wip:

I think the stomach is too low...

That's all....

I love this character dood!

12 December 2003, 06:01 PM
haha yes it is to low
but i wanted to make a taller character this time
and it's the only way i could get myself to do it:p
and i'm not going for anything real
lol... if i was there would be alot of things that need fixin

12 December 2003, 06:35 PM
Alright then. Just sayin...

12 December 2003, 10:02 PM
hey yeah i really like getting everybodys crits
and always keep them coming
just somethings i've thought of since i started and won't be changed:)

i added a vest thing and still messing around with colors:):wip:

12 December 2003, 10:04 PM
oh and i think i got rid of that crease
thanks for pointing it out:thumbsup:

For some reason her nose and mouth are bothering me. Like her nose is too long and the mouth is a bit too low or something. Other than that, she's coming along nice.

12 December 2003, 09:22 AM
i guess it might be long there hehe
i keeps making changes and going back to what i started with so i'm not gona mess with it now
i was trying to make a different type of head
all my others are always short and round
so i'm ok with it :)

i added a few more things
the rig is made but i need to still make the weights:wip:

12 December 2003, 03:12 PM
