View Full Version : Fixing artifact caused by clipping brush...

Hey all, rather new to zbrush and was walking through a Hard Surface tutorial. Often when creating hard surfaces it is recommended to use the clip curve selection tool. As you all must know, clip curve is actually compressing the mesh and causing a flattening look. I read the way to fix this, was after clipping to select "remesh all" on the subtool. Afterwards, you are to project the smooth layer onto the remesh. Unfortunately, the remesh function will also remesh that flattened artifact. So I'm just projecting the artifact back onto the new subtool giving me the exact same mesh.

Can someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Use Dynamesh or QRemesh instead of Remesh All.
