View Full Version : Help required for Referencing/Appending in Blender coming from Maya.

09 September 2012, 12:51 PM

I've been trained in Maya, but have learned myself to use Blender at the company where I have my internship. I've been able to figure most of the things in Blender, yet there is still one big problem that persists: How do I reference/append a rig into a scene?

I've tried to append the rig Im using, but when I click on the file containing the rig, alot of subfolders opens. And if I choose, say all the files in "objects" and append them - they all enter my scene as one big, disconnected mess.

In maya all I had to do was to click "create reference" and then choose the file. Is there no way to just choose the entire file when appending in blender, rather than opening up all the subfolders?

Help would be greatly appriciated! :)
