View Full Version : PyQt4 - QTreeWidget refreshes every time I open or save file in Maya

08 August 2012, 08:56 PM

My QTreeWidget in my QMainWindow refreshes (collapses tree) every time I open or save file in Maya (2012 & 2013) through my PyQt tool.

Here is how I am opening a file:

cmds.file ( filePath, o=True, f=True )

This is how I am saving a file:
cmds.file( rn=fileName )
cmds.file( s=True, typ="mayaAscii" )

Is there a way to restrain Maya from refreshing the QTreeWidget?

You might want to post your code if you want help with it - that doesn't tell us anything really. It sounds as if your refresh function isn't aware of the current state of the QTreeWidget.

Hi fezz,

I don't have a refresh function.

I have functions that save & open files (which code I posted above).

When I use those functions, Maya collapses the QTreeWidget.

I want to avoid that. I want my QTreeWidget to not be collapsed.

Hope that clarifies a bit more. Thanks!!

Yeah, but without seeing what your code is, I can't pinpoint what's wrong. Most of the threads in this section have the problematic code posted...that's how it works.
