Has anyone tried EdgeLooping with realtime based characters. I would imagine if you edge looped only in the most important areas you could get a usable model, that would look very nice. It was mentioned that you normally get a descent poly count with edge looping so that alone could help keep the polys low. I was wondering if anyone has done this. Maybe its standard now and I'm just years behind. For my sake, I hope not. Thank you

Edge looping is just a technique people use for topology and deformations. It is used in almost any character model, and if you arent then most likely you are using to many polys in areas and it is not he best way to do it. There is a topology thread here,
and you will see how all these guys use edge looping. Maybe you ment something else. Am i wrong, if not i hope this helps. Peace
