View Full Version : Point of view effect, or 3d painted room

Hello everyone!
I have a question that I didn't succeed to find an aswer myself. How to create
this ( in 3Ds Max. I guess i should do a perspective projection of a spline to walls, however ShapeMerge gives only orthogonal projection which actually is not the same.
I wonder if someone could help me.

Instead of projecting splines you could map the image on the room's geometry, the geometry should be quite accurate though. Then you could just render out an orthogonal view of each wall and the floor and you're set.

Camera mapping is the easy way.

If you need it in geometry it can be possible to use cut and trace with snapping in perspective view. This technique has some issues though. There was a recent thread either here or at cgarchitect that spent more time on it.
