View Full Version : Python detailed error

How can I get elaborated 'compilation' or run-time error messages such as those from the standard python interpreter (which provides line number, call stack, etc.) instead of maya's cryptic error message?
And why isn't it enabled by default (I'm dying to know who in autodesk designs these interfaces.)?! :banghead:

this may be a stupid question but you have enabled show line numbers in errors and stack trace in the script editor?

Damn, never noticed these options...
And now you wonder how I managed to do anything up until now...

Nah, we don't keep a score, and we all help each other. And besides you give me motivation to learn useful stuff (at the moment I'm experimenting with named pipes).
