View Full Version : New free plugin: Point Index display in editor

07 July 2012, 06:36 PM
I finally decided to create my first tag plugin in python :-)
So, here is a plugin tag that you can add to any object.
If it is a polygonal object and you select any of its points, it will show the index number of that point next to the point itself.
You have five option in the tag.
The first one, turn on and off the display of numbers.
You can set the scale of the numbers that are displayed, the color of the numbers and if you want the numbers to appear with transparency based on they distance in the object (less distracting).
Finally, you can decide if you want to see the indexes displayed even if the object is not active.
I hope this is helpful, somehow.

Thanks Rui. May come in handy indeed.

I've posted this on our site as well. (

Not work with R12 version :(

I tested it here in version 12 and it worked fine, except for the polygon indexes.
And I intend to fix that.
But, otherwise, it is working fine with the selected points here in R12.
What exactly is happening with you. Does it display anything?
Does the Console windows show any error?

Please, check out the Console window and tell me if there is any error message there.
