I'm having a bit of difficulty in working with the python/mel command polyPlane(), specifically in finding its rotation given its normal axis.
After defining a polyPlane using its axis, is there any specific way of obtaining its global rotation? The difficulty is in determining the y' axis rotation. The polyPlane defaults to a positive Y normal orientation and seems to rotate around the y axis at strange times. Is the rotation defined about an arbitrary axis? And if so, is there a way I can access it?
