View Full Version : Game Textures

Hi There,

Does anybody know of any tutorials that cover the creation of textures for games that are similair to the ones found in UT2003 or Halo. I can find lots of tutorials on each individual element of the texture, e.g. glass, brushed metal etc. but I find it difficult to bring them all together so they look convincing.

Any help would be appreciated!

Check this thread for tutorials that I've found. I'm always looking for more too. If you find any, please let me know.

I hope these may be of some use - : personal site of Paul Jaquays, formerly of idsoftware & now with Ensemble Studios. There's a load of links in the resources section. - a nice 'in forum' texture making example.

Unfortunately my PC isn't powerful enough to play UT2003 so I don't know what the textures look like or how the effects are done.

If you have a particular theme in mind I may have other suitable links, if I post all the ones I've found over time it could be a lot of un-necessary stuff that isn't relevant.

sorry if this isn't the kind of thing you're after.
