"Moviegoers attending the special engagement of Disney's THE HAUNTED MANSION at Hollywood's historic El Capitan Theatre (Nov. 26, 2003 through Jan. 4, 2004) will have the opportunity to explore a rare behind-the-scenes attraction about the making of the movie. "The Haunted Mansion - Hollywood" features the actual sets, costumes and vfx designed and built by the film's Academy Award-winning team of artists at Sony Imageworks.
"The Haunted Mansion - Hollywood" will display a visual effects show about the ghosts (Jay Redd was the visual effects supervisor), exhibit works by director of photography Remi Adefarasin and opportunities to design a set and storyboard a scene. Plus there will be a step-by-step demo on "building a zombie by celebrated makeup designer Rick Baker. In addition, viewers will be able to learn how costume designer Mona May got her outfits to glow and how Madame Leota's head got into the crystal ball. "
