As part of a school project, I'm modeling a generic low-poly grunt in MAX 5. Once the model is finished, I'll texture and animate it. At this point I've modeled most of the symmetrical parts of the character and I'm about to start modeling the asymetrical bits (equipment, etc.), which means I might have to permanently close the seam between the two halves of the model. But before I do that (and should I?) I could really use some crits on proportions, aesthetics, problems with the mesh, and anything else that stands out.
Anyway, without further ado, here it is - 2670 triangles, no seam:
