View Full Version : Burning tree using Fluids.

Hello Guys,
This is my first post and i need your help to figure out a burning tree effect using fluids..

i have figure out a video which resembles to kind of look i want..please find it below.

I want the same look using fluids in maya but the condition is that using only one fluid container with tree
being a single object..i am not getting the detailing on flames and entire tree comes as a single flame more or less..
let me know if you can help me...

Try using emit from surface and on the fluid emitter use emission turbulence.

you could also try using an emission map that changes over time to help break up the fire.
