hi, here's mi new WIP.

this sketch is copyrighted by BANDAĻ :

et here's my LP WIP :

I'm starting UVs today ;)

The actual polycount is about : 3100 triangles.

When it's done, i'll convert this mdl for Quake 3 to test it IN-GAME.

C&C are more than welcome as usual :D

great work! man,
but for me, i think may be u can do some improve for the face, the wires looks not clean enough,so that made the face looks not smooth..

The segments behind the knees don't needed imo. It's a common mistake in game models. Put in more knee segments to the front, so when bending it will be smoother.

Tahl'eN : i'll post the front vue soon, cause chin & toes corresponds (about smoothing curves) to model sheet. But i'll check again tomorrow;)

Great job at eliminating stretching on your UV mapping. However, you may find that it's more hastle than it's worth to deal with all those splits. For ease of painting, some stretching is generally ok.

How many texture sheets are you going to be using? As far as making things easier to deal with, and to give yourself more texture space, you could get away with mirroring the UV's for the hair and scale everything up some.

ok, thx again for advises Tahl'eN :)

I think, i'll use 2 texture sheets : one 512*512px for the head and one 1024*1024 for the rest of the body, but i'm not sure.

The aim is to put this mdl into Unreal 2003 (with these original texture sizes) and Q3 with 2 more little textures. e.g 128*128 and 256*256. But i repeat myself, nothing is sure.

If you have some tips about this, there're more than welcome hehe ;)

I'm just starting the texturing...

Forget the original sketch style. Mine will be more dark/goth ;) (Q3 univers inspiration). Needless to say that's my FIRST attempt for a LP model. (very hard :/) and that's completly WIP :)

She is grumpy sure. But those eyes make her look like a Digimon nuked her face.
Whatever.. It is your vision. We shall see how it turns out. At least give her black and red clothes. ^v^

I see what you did with the eyes.. Its good from the "Skills" point of view.. but you took all her cuteness away! the lips are cute though.. but you can make her look creepy AND cute at the same time

Sweet! lol. Went from Cute to "I'll Kill you!" mode. heheh Hand her a Knife and she would be a perfect fit for a sequal to American McGee's Alice hehe. Or a new game by him lol. American McGee has some twisted view on old stories :D he would probaly get a kick out of her.

Aw but you see. You miss the background of her. She was always in I'll kill ya sukka mode. The black eyes jst make her look like like she was beat up.

hellow again, here's a little update about the face :

The hair are almost done (adding shadows, etc. ), the space between eyes is now smaller.

I've also scaled a little the the top of the head.

I think she's looking better now.
