View Full Version : SubSurface Scattering in mental ray.

Does anyone know how to make a custom shader that can achieve this effect?
I've searched for any kind of tutorial for mental ray relating to 3D Studio Max but I've only found one subsurface scattering tutorial which is for Maya. :(

Any help is appreciated :bowdown:

Isn't MentalRay meant to be pretty much the same across most of the 3d packages? Just wondering...

Tried it, didn't work out for me :(
The materials are confusing, they're different in Maya, I tried to follow the tutorial as best as I could but no luck.
