Is there a way to compare simple motions in motionbuilder?

Picture a skeleton with its arms down. The forearm raises, rotating about the elbow vertex. Let's say the angle between the initial position and the raised forearm is 10 degrees.

On the next take, let's say the forearm has returned to it's initial position and has now raised 30 degrees.

What I'm trying to do is measure the difference from the second and first angles.
